Losar Celebration, Lama Losang Visit and Schedule Change

Losar Celebration – Wednesday, February 18th 7:00 PM
Join us for a special evening practice in celebration of Losar, the Tibetan New Year. Together we will mark the new year with traditional offerings, reflection, and meditation. The Fire Horse year is viewed in Tibetan Buddhism as a time of powerful, fast-moving energy and transformation, calling practitioners to channel its intensity with wisdom, compassion, and clear intention.
Evening Schedule:
-
Sang (Smoke Offering) – A traditional purification and offering practice to clear obstacles and invite auspicious conditions for the year ahead.
-
The Twelve Deeds of Buddha – Recitation honoring the life and enlightened activities of the Buddha.
-
Shamatha Meditation – Calm-abiding meditation to cultivate clarity, stability, and inner peace.
-
Closing Prayers – Concluding with the new dedication prayer composed by His Holiness the Karmapa.
All are welcome—no prior experience necessary.
Come set your intention for the new year in community.
Schedule Change this week:
Practice is cancelled Tuesday evening. Please join us Wednesday evening for Losar special event.
