The Golden Eight-Petaled Lotus: Meditation & Eastern Medicine
An Online Event with Lama Losang
Saturday, Sept. 26, 2020, 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. ET
This workshop will be an introduction to the Golden Eight-Petalled Lotus of Asian Medicine. The Eight Petals represent the areas of one’s life that are studied and the methods that are practiced for cultivating health and preventing disease. The Eight Petals are presented in an ideal hierarchy showing exactly what is to be practiced for optimal health in mind and body. Lama Losang will present the Eight Petals and offer advice on how to carry them out in everyday life.
Well-being is experienced in body & mind, but begins with the mind.
Learning eight steps (“eight petals”) will guide us to optimum wellness.
Lama Losang is a fully ordained monk (Gelong) in the Karma Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. He completed a three-year retreat under the guidance of renowned Kagyu master Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche. He received his Doctor of Philosophy degree in Psychology from the University of Florida. About KTC Jax

Karma Thegsum Chöling Jacksonville KTCJax is a Tibetan Buddhist Practice Center of the Karma Kagyu Lineage of Tibetan Buddha Dharma. The Kagyu lineage is one of the four major schools of Tibetan Buddhism & is often called “The Whispered Lineage” because its highest teachings are still passed in an unbroken line from teacher to student since the days of the Buddha.
Founded in June of 1986, we’re also an affiliate Center of Karma Triyana Dharmachakra, the North American seat of His Holiness the Seventeenth Gyalwang Karmapa, Ogyen Trinley Dorje. The Venerable Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche, Abbot of Karma Triyana Dharmachakra monastery in Woodstock, New York, guides our Center.
Please visit! We welcome all those interested in the study and practice of Tibetan Buddhism, and offer a range of activities to satisfy practitioners and visitors alike.
