Karma Thegsum Choling Jacksonville Celebrates 35th Anniversary
It is with great joy and gratitude that we celebrate the 35th anniversary of Karma Thegsum Choling Jacksonville, Tibetan Buddhist Meditation Center!
Founded on June 26th 1986 by the Venerable Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche, KTC Jacksonville continues to serve the community in North East Florida, providing opportunities for both practice and study of the Buddha Dharma. The local center, founded on His Holiness Karmapa’s birthday, gives us the opportunity to celebrate as we express our sincere devotion and gratitude to the activity of our Root Teacher and Head of the Karma Kagyu Order of Tibetan Buddhism.
We are excited to begin a new era as we continue to fundraise for a new, permanent home in the North East Florida area and extend thanks and appreciation to all that continue to support the activity of His Holiness Karmapa and the Karma Kagyu Lineage in our area.
With gratitude, we recognize and thank the Khenpos and Lamas of Karma Triyana Dharmachakra that tirelessly support the Jacksonville Center with special appreciation to Lama Karma, Lama Lodro, Khenpo Ugyen, Khenpo Tenkyong, Khenpo Sanggye, Lama Yeshe, and Lama Kathy. We extend deepest gratitude to our Spiritual Director, Lama Losang. We thank our resident Monastics, Ani Lhamo and Karma Gyamtso, and our hard working Board of Directors, Michael and Jennifer Virzera, and Casey Stone.
To the KTC Sangha we share our joy and gratitude as we continue to practice and work together to offer authentic Dharma to the North East Florida Community. Thank you for all you do to support the center and its activities!
