Pointing Out the Great Way: Stages of Meditation in Mahamudra
By: Daniel Brown
Sale Price: $23.96

Invaluable for the deep meditator, Pointing Out the Great Way is a comprehensive volume on mahamudra meditation, fully rooted in traditional texts and yet sensitive to the modern Western reader's needs. Author Daniel Brown takes a "gradual stages" approach to mahamudra, and teaches from a psychological perspective, explaing how this very powerful form of meditation actually works.
A number of works on Buddhist meditation stages in general and mahamudra in particular are already available in English, yet no single text or commentary on the stages of mahamudra meditation captures the inner experience of these stages in sufficient detail to convey its richness.
Pointing Out the Great Way
integrates material from a variety of root texts, pratical maunals, and commentaries to creat a comprehensive pratice resource. It distills and arranges the experiences of great adepts who have traversed the path of meditation to the point of perfect mastery.
