Here is a very simple way that you can help your Sangha raise funds that doesn’t cost you anything from your own pocketbook, and only a couple of minutes of your time.
Replace your current internet search engine (Google, Yahoo, etc.) with GoodSearch (powered by Yahoo). Each search that you do through GoodSearch will raise money for the cause that you have designated. Also, if you click through GoodSearch to one of their shopping sites and actually end up purchasing an item, KTC Jacksonville will also get a small percentage of that purchase.
See how easy! You’re helping out your Sangha every time you have to look up something on the net.
The URL for GoodSearch is http://www.goodsearch.com
Notice the grey reverse-image area with the text “Who Do You GoodSearch For”. On the first visit to the site, you will need to set this up. Subsequent visits will then have this filled in.
Key in (without the quotes): “Karma Thegsum Choeling”
and press the Verify button.
The screen should change, showing the full name for KTC:
From this main GoodSearch page, you have the option to set GoodSearch as your home page, or to add the GoodSearch toolbar to your internet browser.
At the bottom of the page, there is a section called GoodShop. If you click on Amazon.com for example, and end up buying something, KTC will get a small percentage since you “clicked through” GoodSearch to get there.
So please remember to click thru the KTC GoodSearch page before you do your internet shopping at any of the sites listed on the main page, and do your searches through GoodSearch!
